AI made it easy to generate a conversation about almost anything. Most speaking tools will happily give you one:

Ailelo starts a conversational turn in the language you’re learning. Prompts can be informed by the vocabulary and grammar in the Study Track you’re working from, so the exchange stays close to what you’ve been studying.

How the interaction works
Ailelo isn’t designed as a continuous voice conversation that talks over you. It’s turn-based: you speak, your answer is analyzed, and feedback comes back before the exchange moves on.
There is a short pause in there while your response is evaluated. That pause is what buys you the feedback — it’s the difference between an exchange that simply keeps going and one that tells you something about the answer you just gave.
The pause is doing work. Without it you get a conversation partner; with it you get a conversation partner that can tell you how you sounded, whether the grammar held up, and whether your answer landed.

Plenty of tools will turn your speech into text and move on. Transcription tells you what a machine thinks you said — it doesn’t tell you how you said it.
Ailelo evaluates pronunciation from the response you recorded and gives you feedback aimed at helping you notice where it needs work. It’s feedback on your actual answer, not a score, an accent grade, or a claim to measure you against a native speaker.

Grammar
Grammar exercises usually test a structure on its own, with the answer already narrowed down for you. You know which pattern the exercise wants because the exercise is about that pattern.
Speaking removes that scaffolding. You have to pull the structure out of memory while also deciding what you mean and getting it said. Ailelo evaluates the grammar in your spoken response and tells you specifically what it saw.
Grammar becomes something you use, not only something you recognize.
Content
A response can be pronounced cleanly and still miss the question entirely. If feedback only covers how the words sounded, you can leave a session sounding better and communicating no more clearly than before.
So Ailelo evaluates content too: whether your answer responded to the prompt and carried the meaning you were going for. That’s the part that separates conversation practice from a pronunciation drill.

The conversation isn’t a separate product that happens to speak your language. It sits at the end of the same chain, which is why the words you reach for can be the words you’ve been reviewing all week.
This week’s chapter
A new chapter arrives with new vocabulary, new grammar, and sentence patterns you haven’t used before. Read them and they make sense. That feeling of understanding is real, and it is not the same as being able to produce any of it.

From the card to the sentence
You can know a word cold on a flashcard and still not find it when you need it in a sentence. Recognition and retrieval are different skills, and only one of them gets exercised by looking at a card.

Audio lessons
An audio lesson is a tighter loop: you hear a prompt, answer aloud, and then hear the correct response so you can check yourself. Your spoken answer isn’t graded there — the lesson gives you the answer and you compare.
Conversation practice is the open end of that. You formulate your own response, speak it, and get pronunciation, grammar, and content feedback before continuing. Both exist because producing language inside a structure and producing it freely are different exercises.
